About me
A 26 year “world class bullshitter” in the Spirits Industry, Denny’s first paid job in whisky was as a lab tech at the Jim Beam Distillery in 1998. His years of being curious and disciplined took him from quality to wastewater and eventually put him in his dream job running the Maker’s Mark Distillery. Denny’s path to building his own distillery was a gold mine of
industry experience and titles not just in American Whisky but across the Spirits World: Master Distiller of Heaven Hill and Maker’s Mark, General Manager of Cruzan Distillery in St. Croix and VP of Ops at Heaven Hill overseeing multiple operations across the Globe. His favorite part of the industry is the people he’s learned from, screwed things up with and now
calls friends. Today Denny and business partner, Jane Bowie, are in the process of building a greenfield distillery in Washington County, Kentucky. They plan to be operational by January of 2025 (if they don’t kill each other first).
